Nowadays, disposable diapers play a very important role in taking care of babies. In the market, there are many disposable diaper products available and parents have more choices than ever. However, when deciding which diaper product to purchase, the parents should consider many issues, such as price, texture, absorbency, ventilation, product type, age and development of baby, key materials, quality, as well as innovation.

Disposable diaper, nicknamed "Nappy" or "Baby Napkin", was invented to replace the cloth diaper that is often associated with inconvenience in regards to laundering and drying. The product gained high popularity because it responds to the needs of new parents well. Diapers have been developed and continuously improved by incorporating scientific and technological knowledge in the design and production process.

At present, diapers are composed of these major components: tissue, polyethylene, polyurethane and adhesives, with the main elements being the absorbent layer and the waterproofing layer. It includes the elastic seam function to help improve the fit.

In addition, the design of the diaper has been further refined to accommodate the need for cleanliness and to promote the changing development of children in each age range, such as adjustable tape diapers for infants that are easy to put on and take off.  There are also curved waistband designs in order to prevent dampness friction to the umbilical cord for newborns.  Some diapers are thin and light, perfect for use during the day. Some are very absorbent perfect for use throughout the night. Pants diapers are also available for infants who are starting to crawl around and toddlers to promote development and learning through play and movement.
